Hello everyone! This blog is created with the hope and intention that I will be able to use my iphone to download pictures to share with you, my family and friends, about our visit and stay at the Institute of Christ the King's Mission of St. Therese in Mouila, Gabon. Writing is NOT my forte, but provided that the phone works as it is promised to, I hopefully will be able to share some pictures with you all! We ask your prayers for both a safe and fruitful visit.
Here are a few facts about the mission in Mouila, Gabon:
The country of Gabon is located on the Western Coast of Africa, sliced almost in half by the equator. Because of the presence of the equator, the country is mostly forest and is known as "Africa's Eden" due to its rare beauty. There is a large variety of wildlife from birds, monkeys, snakes, elephants, etc. (hopefully none of which I will encounter at too close of a distance!) :)
Canon Henrique Fragelli was assigned here last fall, when the Institute re-openened this mission, and since then the growth and interest has been very positive and abounding. They already have completed a new chapel, a bell tower, and a variety of interests for the ever-growing faithful, including altar boy groups, ladies' sewing and baking workshops, mens' carpentry workshops, and more. I am sure I will be able to explain all of this first-hand later, but this just gives you a glimpse.
As would be imagined, for all of this growth, they are in great need of financial aid to continue these great works of reaching so many souls. If anyone is interested in more details of the mission reports with financial information, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to send you Canon's mission report. (You all know me directly anyway!). :) But for now, here is the information he enclosed in the mission report about how to safely send contributions to the Mission of St. Therese, if anyone is so inclined. God reward you for your generosity! We have all received so fully from the Church, and it is such a blessing have been exposed to the love and teachings of the Faith, something we take for granted. This is just a small way to extend a hand to those who are on their own beautiful discovery of the Faith, thanks to the generosity of our missionaries!

To safely send a donation or a monthly donation to the Mission is simple:
Step 1a: Go to www. institute-christ-king.org
b: Click on Shrine of Christ the King
c: Click Donate
d: click on African Missions, and follow the prompts for donating. You can make a one-time donation or set up for a recurring donation.
Step 2a: Send an email to our secretary, Mrs. Mary Hall, at info@institute-christ-king.org to let her know that you wish your donation to be sent to the Mission Saint Therese of the Infant Jesus, in Mouila, Africa. Or if you wish, to make it clearer: "for Fr. Fragelli's Mission." *
